NICOLA MANSWORTH
Psychotherapist, MEd
About

My Approach
I offer Emotion-Focused Therapy for individuals (18 years+), couples and families across Ontario via on-line sessions. This evidence-based therapy focuses on helping clients explore their inner life and experiences, increasing self-understanding and self-compassion, and resolving long-term painful emotional patterns. I tailor my approach to the unique needs and experiences of each client in an empathic and non-judgmental environment.

I work with clients who have relationship issues with family members, friends, partners and, most importantly, their relationship with themselves. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-criticism, and perfectionism, and aim to help people overcome the obstacles preventing them from living their life to the fullest.

My Background

I received an MEd in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto OISE. Prior to private practice, I worked for a large youth services agency in downtown Toronto, where I worked from an Attachment Based Family Therapy framework. Since then I have continued to build my skills in Emotion Focused Therapy, completing a range of advanced courses with experts in the field of EFT.
